How do I request a tiedown?

To request a tiedown, complete the Airport Aircraft Storage License Agreement(PDF, 311KB) for Hangars and Tie-Downs, and submit agreement, along with a copy of your aircraft registration and certificate of insurance to paobilling@cityofpaloalto.org.

Upon receipt of the agreement, you will be assigned a tiedown spot and advised of your first month’s prorated amount due based on the (PDF, 115KB)Schedule of Fees and Charges(PDF, 145KB) for Palo Alto Airport. 

How do I make a payment?

Payments can be made automatically via your financial institution, mailed, or in person during terminal hours, daily 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. 

To pay automatically, provide your financial institution the following information and schedule payment for the first of every month. Please contact PAOBilling@cityofpaloalto.org with any questions regarding the above.

How do I cancel my monthly Tiedown, Hangar, Auto Parking or Hangar waitlisting?

The Palo Alto Airport requires 30 days’ notice for any cancellation. To cancel, complete the account cancel form(PDF, 248KB) and submit to paobilling@cityofpaloalto.org or mail to 1925 Embarcadero Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303. Upon receipt of your cancellation form, airport staff will determine final payment. 

We will cancel your account upon receipt of final payment.

What is the hangar waitlist policy?

How do I get on the hangar waitlist?

To add your name to the hangar waitlist, complete the hangar application form and submit your $500 deposit to the Palo Alto Airport at 1925 Embarcadero Rd, Palo Alto, CA 94303

How is the deposit applied?

If offered a hangar, $450 will be applied to your first month’s rent. If you decide to remove your name from the waitlist prior to being offered a hangar, your $450 will be refunded. The $50 administrative fee is nonrefundable.

What are the different hangar sizes?

The Palo Alto Airport offers Box Hangars, Small T-Hangars, and Large T-Hangars.

The waitlist is determined by the size of the aircraft unless specified otherwise. Large T-Hangars are reserved for large aircraft.

What is the daily parking policy?

The Palo Alto Airport offers free automobile parking up to 8 hours. Stays longer than 8 hours require a Daily or Monthly Parking Permit. 

Permit rates can be found in the current Schedule of Fees and Charges(PDF, 145KB) for Palo Alto Airport and payments can be made via ParkMobile, self-pay parking app.

If you are interested in a monthly parking space, please complete the auto parking application. Upon receipt of the application, you will be assigned a parking space and advised of your first month’s prorated amount due based on the Schedule of Fees and Charges(PDF, 145KB) for Palo Alto Airport.
