Community Invited to Share Vision for Cubberley Redesign
Come share your vision for Cubberley Community Center by attending the next co-design meeting on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7-9 p.m. The City and the Palo Alto Unified School District, in partnership with Concordia engagement design firm, are holding four meetings to encourage the community to help re-imagine the space.
The first two meetings were held on Sept. 27 and Nov. 1, respectively. Over 240 community members attended the first meeting and 118 were at the second meeting. Attendees addressed both programming and site design preferences, and participated in two interactive exercises to provide ideas for the future of the site.
Based on feedback we have received from participants, we have posted a sneak preview of some of the meeting presentation here to give you a chance to review the content ahead of time. It shows a draft massing and circulation model that was developed based on your input at the past two meetings. The presentation also shows the four activities at the meeting.
The first two activities will gather responses and feedback to the draft program organization and circulation model. The second two activities we will gather your preferences on architectural and landscape design style. In addition to the presentation, we encourage you to review the result of your program recommendations in the Program Document here.
Each meeting is designed to build upon the results of the previous meeting, with the results directly inform the content of the next meeting. Come share your vision.
Spanish and Mandarin interpreters will be on hand and translated activity materials will be provided.
