Gas Safety Awareness Surveys
Published on September 05, 2024
Starting the week of September 9, 2024, the City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) will be conducting a gas safety awareness survey of residential customers and non-customers living near a gas pipeline. You may receive a recorded phone call with questions about natural gas safety. If you miss the phone call but would like to answer the survey, please call (650) 900-9908 or complete the survey online here.
Your responses are very important to us and help inform our gas safety public awareness program! Safety is our top priority, so we appreciate you taking a few minutes to provide your feedback.
Take the Online Survey
This is the federally mandated Gas Overall Awareness level (GOAL) survey, a nationwide program to assess the effectiveness of utility outreach and public awareness about gas safety.
These surveys are conducted periodically to ensure that our customers and other stakeholders such as emergency responders, contractors, locators, excavators, and public officials have adequate information on safety protocols. Contractor Blue Otter Solutions conducts these surveys on behalf of CPAU.
Please view our gas safety brochure in English, Spanish, or Mandarin. For helpful tips about gas safety, including how to prevent and detect gas leaks, and what to do if you suspect a gas leak, visit our Safety page for more information.
