Each week, City Manager Shikada shares updates at the City Council meeting. He highlights upcoming events, City services, Council discussions planned, and this update shares actions taken at the May 15 meeting.

The Police Department’s 2022 Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) data was announced available to the public through the new online dashboard. Upcoming nighttime road closures on El Camino Real will allow Caltrans crews to safely address pavement conditions May 16 and May 17.

Join the budget conversation virtually at tonight’s informational session at 6 p.m. and attend an open house tomorrow to learn about and provide input on the Palo Alto Airport Long-Range Facilities and Sustainability Plan. 3rd Thursday on California Avenue begins this week! Plus, hang out with police personnel at Breaking with the Law on Monday and sign up to volunteer to paint murals on Cal Ave this June.

Council Actions:

Council declined levy assessments for the Downtown BID, directed staff to take positions on numerous state bills, and approved changes in the code related to accessory dwelling units and accessory structures.
