An emergency alert system test is scheduled for Thursday, December 14 at noon, enjoy a festive Cal Ave thanks to volunteers who decorated for the holidays, and share the cheer at holiday events and ways to give back. Plus, the Midtown Business District is hosting a scavenger hunt December 11 - 15 and gaining new street pole banners to support a vibrant business area.

The City Council took action on several items including declaring that weeds are a public nuisance and setting a public hearing date for objections on February 26, 2024. They established the safe parking program permanently and directed staff to explore expansion to commercial lots and increase Geng Road safe parking, and directed staff to return with an ordinance to increase Council salary and benefits as of January 2025. Plus, they voted to restore the Public Art Commission members to seven and other actions.
