Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of General Colin Powell

The flags outside City Hall, the Municipal Service Center, and all City buildings and fire stations are being flown at half-staff in honor of the late General Colin Powell. 

President Biden issued a proclamation on the death of General Colin Powell, noting his climb to the highest ranks of the United States military and how he advised four Presidents. The President and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, also issued a personal statement on the passing of Powell.

Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday, October 22, 2021.
