City & PAUSD Joint Update on Cubberley Property Negotiations

The City of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto Unified School District have made significant strides toward finalizing an agreement to enable the City to permanently secure a portion of Cubberley for the development of a community center. The City and PAUSD have met seven times since December 2023 and are now in the late stages of negotiation. We have agreed to engage a mediator to bridge the remaining gap on the property terms and price and work toward an agreement expeditiously. This collaboration underscores our collective commitment to the community's welfare and the future of Cubberley as a key community asset.
