Creating a Safer Community: Understanding and Defining Hate Crimes
Join Palo Alto Mayor Greer Stone as he facilitates an information session with:
- Capt. James Reifschneider, Palo Alto Police Department
- District Attorney Jeff Rosen, County of Santa Clara County
- Agustin Lopez, FBI Asst. Special Agent in Charge, San Francisco
Event Highlights:
- Understand the difference between a hate crime and a hate incident
- Learn how and where to report hate crimes
- Find out about resources for victims
- Question and Answer Session
The event will be held on Tuesday, October 15, in the Palo Alto Room at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto. Refreshments and light appetizers are served from 5:30-6:00 pm, the program begins at 6:00 pm.
Registration is appreciated, but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. This event is brought to you by the Human Relations Commission.
