The City of East Palo Alto is replacing water distribution mains in Woodland Avenue in East Palo Alto, replacing an existing interconnection between the City of East Palo Alto and the City of Palo Alto at the intersection of University Avenue and Woodland Avenue.
The City of East Palo Alto hired a contractor to replace approximately 500 linear feet of water distribution mains owned and maintained by the City of East Palo Alto. The water distribution mains are adjacent to an existing interconnection between East Palo Alto and the City of Palo Alto. The project will improve the reliability of an emergency connection between the two drinking water systems.
The project duration is approximately three (3) months. Work activity is planned to start in August and is scheduled to be complete by December 2024. Weather delays may impact duration of the work.
Work will take place 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Work is located in East Palo Alto. Traffic controls will be implemented around the work area. Advanced traffic control signage and devices will be utilized on University Avenue at the Crescent Drive intersection in Palo Alto north to the project area located at University Avenue and Woodland Avenue.
