Demographics

This dashboard offers an annual snapshot / summary taken each October of the City of Palo Alto’s workforce demographics, and is gathered through information provided by employees. As is standard with demographic data reporting, this information is shared in the aggregate to protect individual privacy, meaning certain groups have been merged to prevent any data display that could lead to personal individual identification. This approach allows the City to maintain individual confidentiality while still gaining valuable insights into our organizational demographics.

The data in the following dashboard is from October 2023.
