Offers a one-time utility bill assistance to Palo Alto residential customers for past due amounts, up to $750, who have experienced sudden job loss, the death of a spouse, or unexpected substantial medical expenses.
City of Palo Alto Utilities - Rate Assistance Program (RAP)

Provides a 25% discount on gas and electricity charges and a 20% discount on storm drain service fees to Palo Alto residential customers. Eligibility is based on either medical need, treatment or medical equipment causes higher than normal utilities consumption, or financial need. Season of Sharing Fund
Provides financial assistance for housing and other critical needs to families with dependent children, persons aged 55 and older, disabled individuals, veterans, individuals in their second or third trimester of pregnancy, survivors of intimate partner violence, and transitioning emancipated foster youth ages 18-24. Bureau of Automotive Repair's Consumer Assistance Program
Eligible consumers may receive up to $1,200 in emissions related repairs if their vehicle fails its biennial Smog Check inspection. Eligible consumers may receive up to $1,500 to retire their operational vehicle.
