Totem Series

"This body of work developed out of a small series of masks. The mask is the oldest symbol of alienation. The mask, as the other face, can hide the wearer, protect and transform a person. After I finished the Life Masks, I extended this object to cover the entire body and consider this work to be drawn representations of three-dimensional totems, made for ritual purposes." - Minna Resnick
