About the artist
Palo-Alto based artist Judith Content graduated from San Francisco State University in 1979 with a BA in Fine Art with an Emphasis in Textiles. She has been a full-time studio artist for almost 35 years. She exhibits nationally and internationally and her work is represented in museum, public and private collections. She served as juror for Quilt National and Quilt Visions and as President of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA). Publications include Art Quilts Unfolding: 50 Years of Innovation, by Nancy Bavor, Lisa Ellis, Martha Sielman, SILK and Textiles: The Art of Mankind, by Mary Schoeser, Masters: Art Quilts I, by Martha Sielman, The Art Quilt by Robert Shaw and Memory on Cloth: Shibori Now, by Yoshiko I.
