John Sabraw

About the artist

John Sabraw is an Ohio-based artist, environmentalist, and activist. For the past several years, he has actively partnered with Ohio University Engineering Professor Dr. Guy Riefler to develop commercially viable paints with pigments extracted from toxic sludge runoff from abandoned coal mines. This is one facet of the artist’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a sustainable studio process.
