Guillermo Bert
About the artist:
Guillermo Bert is a multimedia artist known for his experimentation with craft and technology. Born in Chile, Bert’s decades-long art practice uses cultural symbols to address issues of urbanism, consumerism, and displacement. Bert received his B.A from Catholic University from his native Santiago. Bert immigrated to the US in 1981 and worked as Professor of Mixed Media at The Art School of Design, Pasadena until he decided to dedicate his time exclusively to his own art practice. He works and lives in Los Angeles.
