About the Artist

Wes Bruce is a multi-practice artist blending elements of story-led architecture, immersive installations, exploratory poetry, community engagement, social practice, earth meditations and collaborative filmmaking. Bruce grew up in Northern California and graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego where he earned a degree in Art Education. His projects involve the community through workshops, social work initiatives, digital engagement, and a wide range of methods to offer ownership and co-curation to participants. He works primarily with contemporary art museums, children’s museums, youth nonprofits, refugee and immigrant nonprofits, schools, and most recently libraries. He views his art (and life) as an ongoing, ever-unfolding practice of reciprocity.
