Spend quality time together at the Palo Alto Art Center. We offer enriching art experiences for children and meaningful experiences for parents. Free Family Days provide festive afternoons of art-making fun for the whole family. 

Spring Family Day

Join us for a creative afternoon inspired by our current exhibition, Cut from the Same Cloth. Enjoy art activities led by Art Center teaching artists, Palo Alto City Library, and FabMo, a fabric recycling nonprofit. Learn how to weave a rainbow at our rainbow plate weaving station, design some pajamas for a paper bear and weave your bear a blanket at our two-part goodnight paper bear craft station. Bring the whole family for this fun, multi-generational event and stick around until the very end for a textile-inspired story time.

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Artmaking activities: Rainbow Weaving, Goodnight Bear Craft

  • 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Community Booths: Palo Alto City Library, Paper Star Craft, and FabMo: Coloring with Upcycled Texture

  • 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. Storytime
