Art Center Studios Drop-in Programs

The Art Center Adult Studios offers drop-in programs in life drawing, collage, printmaking, and jewelry!

Life Drawing and Painting from a Model

  • For 2025, programs occur weekly January 7 through December 18 except on holidays noted below 
  • Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m. (nude model, quick pose) (no session 11/11/2025)
    Reserve your spot in Tuesday Night Life Drawing through Bookeo!
  • Tuesdays, 1:30-4:30 p.m. (costumed model, long pose) (no session 11/11/2025)
  • Thursdays, 1:30-4:30 p.m. (nude model, long pose) (no session 11/27/25 )
  • Bring your own supplies
  • Fee: $15 cash only per session payable to Drop-in Coordinator
  • Maximum attendance: 22
  • Studio A at the Art Center
  • Open to all!

Paula Kirkeby Press Drop-in Printmaking

  • Studio A at the Art Center
  • For experienced printmakers only, ages 18 and over
  • Pre-approval for this drop-in program required
  • Email the Studio Program Director for more information and to schedule an assessment
  • Quarterly schedule emailed upon participation approval
  • Printing Day Pass: $12 for Palo Alto residents; $14 for non-resident

Collage Drop-in Group

  • Studio B at the Art Center
  • Weekly on Wednesdays: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (no meetings on July 3, November 27, December 25, and January 1, 2025)
  • Fee: $10 per session
  • Bring your own supplies
  • Open to all!

Open Jewelry Studio Program

  • Studio B at the Art Center
  • For experienced jewelers only, ages 18 and over
  • Pre-approval for this drop-in program is required
  • Email the Studio Program Director for more information and to schedule an assessment
  • Monthly schedule emailed upon participation approval
  • Fee: $36/month for Palo Alto residents; $42/month for non-residents; Day pass: $12 for Palo Alto residents; $14 for non-residents

Ceramics

  • For Enrolled Students only. You must be enrolled in an Art Center Ceramics class this quarter to use the ceramics studio.
  • Unlimited use drop-in passes are available online or in person for currently enrolled students
  • Day use passes are available to purchase in person at the Art Center front desk or studio office for currently enrolled students
  • Drop-in hours are posted in the studio and on the bottom of you enrollment receipt
