This advisory page is intended to provide information on emergency or scheduled park closures. Your understanding and patience is appreciated when we have to close park facilities for repairs, renovations or to recover from storm damage.
The following park facilities are currently closed:
- Weisshaar Park will be closed February 1, 2008 June 30, 2008 for renovation of irrigation systems; replacement of picnic tables, benches and pathways.

Access to the entire park is restricted during construction. Tennis courts will remain accessible during construction
- Cameron Park will be closed February 1, 2008 to June 30, 2008 for renovations of irrigation systems; replacement of benches and tables.

- Mitchell Park – Spider Dome play area (near East Meadow Picnic Area) will be closed January 15, 2008 to April 1, 2008. Damaged boards on the play structure require replacement. Parts have been ordered and will be installed when they arrive.

Parts of the play structure and slide are still accessible.
- Baylands Athletic Center will be closed from January 1, 2008 to May 1, 2008 for replacement of fencing; building new dug-outs; renovation of in-field.

Use of the field is permitted with reservations during construction. The dug-outs will be open in mid-March.
Some park repairs and closures require the use of temporary fences to secure the area during construction. For your safety and security, please do not enter fenced areas.
Please contact the Project Manager if you witness anyone not permitted to be within the closed area.
