Computer Use at the Library

Wireless Network Access
Wifi hotspots are available at all branches and printing is also available.

Public PCs
Public PCs are available at all branches. These pcs are configured with a web browser, the Microsoft Office 2003 suite, the Windows telnet client, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Windows Media Player. No additional software can be downloaded.

A library card is required to use the public pcs, or a 30-minute visitor pass will be issued per day for guests. For cardholders, the limit is 60-minute sessions, and 2 hours per day.  All libraries have public pcs available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Loaner Laptops
Loaner laptops are available for 2-hour use at all branches with the exception of Children's Library.  A library card is required.  Here is the complete policy (pdf).

Printing
Printing is available for desktop, loaner laptop, and personal laptop users.  Fees apply as determined by the City's Municipal Fee Schedule.

Policy
Users of the wireless network, the public pcs and the loaner laptops agree to abide by the Library's Internet Use Policy (pdf).
