Community Cooling Center Provides Relief from Poor Air Quality

The Palo Alto community cooling center is opening its doors again this week, September 14-18, to provide much-needed relief from the poor air quality that is expected to continue this weekend due to regional wildfires.

Located at the Mitchell Park Community Center in the El Palo Alto Room, the hours of operation are from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The Community Cooling Centers page includes guidance on how to stay healthy during high-temperature weather and guidance from the CDC on using cooling centers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please take extra care and share this information with those at risk. Visit the County‚Äôs Hot Weather Safety page for information on other cooling centers throughout Santa Clara County.

Our Cooling Center page is updated regularly with information, including center locations and dates and hours of operation.
