Flags Flown at Half-Staff in Honor of Longest Serving Congressman
President Trump ordered flags at all public buildings and grounds to be flown at half staff on Friday, Feb. 8 until sunset on Saturday, Feb. 9 in honor of former U.S. Representative John Dingell, Jr. of Michigan. Dingell was the longest serving member of Congress in our nation’s history. Dingell was a member of the Democratic Party and served for more than 59 years, from 1955 until 2015.
