Council Adopts New Cap on Citywide Office Development
The City Council voted at its July 30 meeting to cut in half the cumulative amount of citywide new office development allowed from 1.7 million square feet to 850,000. That is the same amount included in a citizen-led initiative that the Council considered placing on the ballot, but chose to adopt the reduced development cap as an alternative. The recently adopted 2030 Comprehensive Plan included the 1.7 million square feet commercial development cap. To read the staff report, click here.
