Epi-Aid Report from CDC Released

In 2015, the California Department of Public Health, on behalf of Palo Alto and the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health (SCCHD), asked the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to assist our community in better understanding youth suicide. The final Epi-Aid report, which includes the agency's findings and recommendations, was published on March 3, 2017, and can be viewed here on the SCCPHD website.

Project Safety Net (PSN) assisted the CDC’s investigation and you can learn more about PSN’s efforts and read a response to the report from PSN Executive Director Mary Gloner here. Visit the PSN website at for mental health resources and to learn about the latest partner activities.

A community meeting in Palo Alto regarding the final Epi-Aid report will be held on March 22. The location and time will be announced soon.
