Summer Reading Program 2017

Summer Reading is for all ages– birth and up. The theme this year is "Build a Better World." Sign up any time, at any Palo Alto Library branch, or online from June 3 - July 31.

Set your own personal reading goal for the summer, then post the books that you have read online. You can add book reviews and read what others have posted.

Adults: Can set a personal goal OR read one of each: a book recommended by a Librarian, a book published in 2017, a book about a refugee or immigrant, a book from a genre you don’t normally read and an audiobook.

Looking to take your summer reading challenge to the next level?
Pick up one of our BINGO activity cards! Completion of 5 activities earns you an entry into our weekly prize drawing!

When you have reached your goal, drop by any Palo Alto Library branch starting August 1 to claim your prizes. All prizes MUST BE PICKED UP BY AUGUST 31. Random weekly drawing prizes will be mailed to winners.

Sign up online or visit any Palo Alto Library branch!

You may log your summer reading on your Evanced Summer Reader account online or on paper. Information: www.cityofpaloalto.org/library or call 650-329-2436

Prizes!

Everyone will receive a free paperback book and a $5.00 Book Bucks coupon for the Friends of the Palo Alto Library’s monthly book sale.

Kids and Teens will also receive a coupon from Round Table Pizza.

Each week during the months of June, July and August, there will be random drawings for kids, teens and adults to win a special prize for those who have posted a book review the week before on their online log. So, the more reviews you post throughout the summer, the better your chance of winning a special prize!
