For the third year in a row, the City of Palo Alto is participating in Bay Area SunShares, a solar group-buy program administered by Building Council for Climate Change (BC3).
This year more than 40 Bay Area communities and companies are participating as outreach partners. Three solar installers have been vetted and selected to provide no-cost solar consultations and discounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system installations:

In addition, discounts on the 2017 Nissan Leaf (electric vehicle) and Toyota Mirai (hydrogen fuel cell vehicle) are available through the following dealerships:

Discounts on EV charging equipment and installation can also be found on the Discounts page of the Bay Area SunShares website under "Additional Products" in the "Solar Technologies" section.
Anyone living in the Nine Bay Area Counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma) or Yolo or Sacramento Counties.
How SunShares works
1. Register online at http://www.bayareasunshares.org/ by November 10th 2. Schedule a consultation with one of the three vetted solar installers: SkyTech Solar, PetersenDean Roofing and Solar, and Solar Technologies or contact a participating vehicle dealership. 3. Sign your solar contract by December 31, 2017 to take advantage of the discounted program pricing.
