Call before taking anything to RAFT. RAFT is a non profit organization that accepts numerous types of ("thing-a-ma-jigs" and "whach-a-ma-call-its") items primarily from businesses. Examples are factory over-runs, business stationary that is outdated, manufacturing scraps such as leather, fabric, plastic, wood, all types of office supplies, scientific equipment that could be used in a class room setting, and numerous other types of materials. These items are then sold at a very low cost to help teachers offset the cost of purchasing materials for the classroom.
