New Services and Construction: If you need to sign up for a new service or find out about a construction program, our Engineering and Operations group has information for you.
The City is conducting a system-wide update of its Backflow/Cross-Connection Program in accordance with California Department of Public Health regulations.
Backflow devices are designed to prevent customers’ water from entering the city's distribution system. These devices are generally required to be installed at commercial facilities like restaurants and auto shops, and at homes that use water wells for irrigation.
In recent weeks, you should have received a survey about your backflow prevention devices. We appreciate all of you who completed and returned these surveys to help ensure that these devices are properly placed and in good working order.
Click here for complete information on getting your backflow prevention device(s) tested and certified, if you have not already done so.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the City’s Cross-Connection Control Officer at (650) 496-6967.
