Application for the Use of Alternate Material, Design or Method of Construction Pursuant to California Fire Code section 103.1.2, the fire chief can approve alternate means or methods to meet the intent of the code. Contractor's Inspection Request Forms As of June 6. 2008 Contractors working in Palo Alto can download an Inspection Request Form, Appointment Request Form, or an Information Request Form. When completed you can scan and Email the form to Fire@cityofpaloalto.org or fax the form to 650-327-6951. You will be contacted via email or phone with your scheduled inspection.

Unidocs HMBP Electronic Submission Effective March 15, 2006, all Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBPs) and Registration (‘Short’) Forms must be submitted electronically via the Unidocs website (www.unidocs.org) or by submitting via email or CD an Excel or tab-delimited format provided by the department.
