Welcome to the Office of the City Auditor. The department director is responsible for independently assessing and reporting on City services. In accordance with the Charter Authority and Municipal Code, we conduct and coordinate a variety of performance, financial, and revenue audits and special studies at the direction of the City Council (see Annual Audit Workplan for the list of current audits).

Our office is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive internal audit program that provides the City Council, City management, and taxpayers with evaluations of the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of City services. We coordinate the work of internal audit staff with the activities of all external auditors including independent public accountants, government, and contract auditors.

Our audit reports are public documents. Note the "Revision Date" on our web site is the "Issue Date" of the report.
