Description: The office of Child & Family Resources administers contracts for the provision of child care on all of the 12 PAUSD elementary school sites. This office also oversees the City’s child care subsidy program. Providers who meet the requisite standards may participate in the provision of subsidized child care. Families who meet eligibility requirements may obtain child care subsidies as the wait list allows. Palo Alto Community Child Care (PACCC) administers the subsidy program and all applications must be made through PACCC (650-493-2361, x21). An up-to-date information and referral website is made available by this office with information covering a range of child care issues. Also included is an alphabetical listing of all licensed child care facilities in the city plus their location on a city map. A Child Care Advisory Committee reports to the City Manager and focuses on child care issues, guided by the City’s Child Care Master Plan. Community members with an interest in child care are invited to join.
