Description: 
Adult and Senior services provide mental health and case management services for adults and seniors. Services include psychiatric assessment, evaluation of the individual's wants, need and resources, prescribing and monitoring psychiatric medications, referral and individual and his/her family, assistance with tasks of daily living as needed, and crisis intervention. Peer counseling is also available. Special outreach services to the homeless mentally ill. La Selva provides 24 hour residential care and services to people with psychiatric illness as an alternative to or following an acute hospital stay. Rehabilitative Day Treatment emphasizes individual goal achievement, psychoeducation and practical support to assist people with stabilization of symptoms and success in community living. Families participate through counseling and support services. ALLIANCE for Community Care provides supported housing in the community for adults with psychiatric disabilities. Peer support is encouraged to help maintain stability. Residents are referred to appropriate community resources for mental health treatment. Vocational services provide employment counseling, placement and support services for people whose psychiatric disabilities have interfered with successful employment. Services are coordinated with Department of Rehabilitation.
