Description: Provides advocacy and mentoring services to abused and neglected children through trained community volunteers to represent the best interests of children involved in the juvenile dependency system. Provides foster care children who are victims of neglect, domestic violence, or abuse (infancy to 18) with a trained advocate. Advocate generally sees child on a regular basis, 10 to 13 hours a month. About twice a year Advocates submit reports to the Court and attend a court hearing regarding the child.
